Ratha Yatra

🌟 Celebrating the Magnificent Ratha Yatra (Chariot Festival) in our traditional way in Dublin! 🌟 Dear fellow Odia community members in Ireland, With immense joy and devotion, we are delighted to share the remarkable journey of our annual celebrations, the Ratha Yatra, happening twice every year in the heart of Dublin. Over the past few years, our small but vibrant Odia community has come together to commemorate this auspicious occasion, embracing our rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions, despite being 1000s miles away from our motherland. In a beautiful fusion of devotion and unity, we began by celebrating the ISKCON Ratha Yatra in Dublin, an event that radiates love and fervour for Lord Jagannath, Baladeva, and Devi Subhadra. The grand procession of the resplendent chariots through the streets of Dublin attracts devotees from all walks of life, coming together to bask in the divine blessings. Adding to our elation, the last two years have witnessed an extraordinary milestone – the celebration of our own Ratha Yatra in Dublin following the establishment of our very own Jagannath Temple within the VHCCI Temple premises in Dublin! With the support and dedication of our cherished community, we now commemorate the Traditional Chariot Festival in the authentic Odia way, invoking the divine presence of the Lord into our lives. In Dublin, we are blessed to witness and celebrate two Ratha Yatra events each year. These annual events have become a beacon of cultural and spiritual unity, allowing us to share our cherished traditions with our Irish friends and neighbours, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and harmony. The festivities resonate with the soulful sounds of bhajans, the aroma of delectable Prasadam, and the vibrant colours of adorned chariots, creating an unforgettable experience for all. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each member of our Odia community for their unwavering support, participation, and enthusiasm, which make these celebrations a grand success year after year. As we move forward, let us continue to preserve our heritage and promote the spirit of togetherness, enriching the lives of everyone around us. May the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath shower upon us all, infusing our hearts with love, compassion, and devotion. Jai Jagannath! Jai Ratha Yatra! Jai Jagnnath Swamy, Nayana Pathagami Bhabatu me! 🙏
